Job summary

Milk Education is seeking a SEN Behaviour & Learning Mentor to support our partner SEN schools across Guildford and the surrounding Surrey area, helping students develop emotional regulation, resilience and confidence.

This role is ideal for graduates, aspiring teachers, youth workers, or experienced education professionals looking to make a real difference in specialist school settings within a supportive community.

Qualifications

  • Experience supporting children or young people (education, SEN, youth work, coaching, care, mentoring, or similar).
  • A genuine passion for supporting pupils with additional needs.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for one.
  • A positive, patient, and proactive approach.

Responsibilities

  • Provide 1:1 and small-group support for pupils with SEN and additional needs.
  • Implement behaviour support strategies to encourage positive engagement and learning.
  • Work closely with teachers, SENCOs, and pastoral teams to support individual learning plans.
  • Help students develop emotional regulation, resilience, and confidence.
  • Promote a calm, safe, and inclusive learning environment.
  • Encourage independence, positive behaviour, and personal development.

SEN Behaviour & Learning Mentor – September start

Guildford, Surrey

Milk Education is excited to be recruiting for a SEN Behaviour & Learning Mentor to support our partner SEN schools across Guildford and the surrounding Surrey area. As a Behaviour & Learning Mentor, you’ll play a key role in helping students overcome behavioural challenges, engage positively with learning, and build confidence both in and out of the classroom.

Key Responsibilities
