Job summary

Leicestershire County Council is seeking an exceptional SEND leader for the role of Special Educational Needs Assessment (SENA) Team Manager. You will support the SENA Service Managers, oversee Case Managers, and drive high-quality statutory delivery for families across Leicestershire.

We welcome experience in Post 16 and preparation for adulthood, with an enhanced DBS check. The role offers a permanent contract, county location, and salary in the advertised range.

Qualifications

• BTEC Higher or NVQ Level 4 or equivalent with substantial experience
• Experience in managing a team and service delivery
• Knowledge of SEN legislation and guidance
• Ability to analyse data and performance information
• Strong written communication for diverse audiences
• Ability to partner with parents and other agencies

Responsibilities

• Lead practice and provide management oversight to Case Managers and Senior Case Managers
• Ensure EHC assessment, planning and reviews meet statutory timescales
• Drive high-quality statutory delivery for families across Leicestershire
• Support strategic and operational leadership of the SENA service
• Demonstrate commitment to flexible working options where feasible
