Job summary

Academics is hiring an Alternative Provision Teaching Assistant in the Gloucester area for an exciting role supporting learners with additional needs in an alternative provision setting. The position is term-time only with daily hours from 8:30am to 3:30pm, and a start date ASAP.

Salary ranges from £92 to £105 per day depending on experience. You will work closely with teaching staff to provide tailored 1:1 and small group support, helping learners engage and develop academically and emotionally

Qualifications

• Experience supporting learners with additional needs and a calm approach in challenging situations.
• Ability to build positive relationships with learners and staff.
• Commitment to safeguarding and following school policies.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and small group support to learners across the day.
• Support learners with learning, development and engagement.
• Deliver targeted interventions and personalised activities.
• Build positive relationships and encourage positive behaviour and progress.
• Monitor learner progress and provide feedback to teaching staff.
