Job summary

Teaching Personnel Ltd. in Skelmersdale is seeking a caring 1:1 Support Worker / Teaching Assistant to support pupils with SEN. The role offers both full-time and part-time positions with start ASAP; the hourly rate is £14.25–£15.00.

You will work 1:1 with pupils, helping with learning, emotional regulation, and social development. Experience in SEN or related settings is desirable. You will collaborate with teachers and staff to create a supportive learning environment, with opportunities for

Experience in SEN, education, care, or related settings.
Experience supporting individuals with additional needs or challenging behaviours.
Patient, nurturing and resilient approach.
Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
Ability to work as part of a team and adapt to pupil needs.

Responsibilities

Provide dedicated 1:1 support to pupils throughout the school day.
Support learning, emotional regulation, and social development.
Build positive relationships with children who may display challenging behaviours.
