Job summary
Huawei Research and Development UK Limited in Ipswich is seeking a Semiconductor R&D yield analysis Engineer to support development and optimization of next generation photonic devices. You will transform large-scale experimental and fabrication data into actionable insights to improve design modelling, performance and reliability.
You will work with cross-functional teams, apply statistics and machine learning, and build automated data pipelines using Python, R and MATLAB.
Qualifications
- PhD in a relevant field with strong experimental and data analysis background.
- Proficient in Python/R for data processing and automation.
- Experience with MATLAB and SQL for data extraction and analysis.
Responsibilities
- Analyse design simulations, fabrication and testing to identify performance trends and anomalies.
- Develop ML models to improve device yield and reliability.
- Build automated data analysis workflows using Python, R or MATLAB.
- Perform data-driven electrical and physical failure analysis for R&D yield loss.
- Generate reports to support R&D engineering decisions.
- Collaborate with design, process, test teams and project managers.
- Stay current with industry trends and integrate new technologies.
