Job summary

IC Resources is seeking a Semiconductor Process Integration and Yield Engineer in the North East of the UK to develop and integrate new process technologies and lead yield improvement initiatives across existing production-qualified processes.

The role requires close collaboration with Operations and compliance with licenses to operate, interacting with environmental agencies and consultants to ensure safe and compliant plant operation.

Qualifications

• Yield and process integration knowledge.
• Experience of working in semiconductor manufacturing environment.
• Evidence of understanding development or production within a quality environment.
• Degree qualified in Electronic Engineering/Physics or other relevant degree.

Responsibilities

• Develop and integrate new process technologies and yield improvement initiatives across existing production-qualified manufacturing processes.
• Interface with all disciplines within the Operations Department to ensure stable, robust, repeatable, sustainable and high-yielding manufacturing processes are achieved, monitored and maintained with customer needs in mind.
• Work with environmental agencies and specialist consultants to ensure plant and equipment are designed and operated to fully adhere to licenses to operate.

Our client is developing cutting-edge, next generation compound semiconductors, and is a leader within the North East’s emerging semiconductor cluster. They are now searching for a Semiconductor Process Integration and Yield Engineer to be responsible for the development and integration new process technologies and yield improvement initiatives across existing production qualified manufacturing processes. The role will involve acting as interface with all disciplines within the Operations Dept to ensure stable, robust, repeatable, sustainable and high yielding manufacturing processes are achieved, monitored and maintained with the needs of the customer being paramount.The primary function of the role is to work closely with the environmental agencies and specialist consultants to ensure the plant and equipment are designed and operated in a manner that ensures the licenses to operate are fully adhered to and complied with.

Required skills for the Semiconductor Process Integration and Yield Engineer will include:
