Job summary

Octric Semiconductor is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to provide technical and strategic operational support for ramping a high-volume compound semiconductor wafer fabrication facility. The role focuses on capacity modelling, data analysis, and process optimization within our Newton Aycliffe site.

The successful candidate will work with Factory Operations management, Engineering and Automation to improve WIP flow and production performance, maintaining cost estimates and tool requirements for

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in Semiconductor, Electronics or Automotive industries for capacity modelling and optimization.
• Ability to work in a clean room environment wearing smock.

Responsibilities

• Maintain capacity modelling data integrity and update capacity analyses.
• Develop and implement solutions to improve cycle time and delivery performance.
• Collect data via stopwatch time studies and automate logs to analyse throughput changes.
• Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing and planning to optimise WIP flow.
• Estimate manufacturing costs and determine tooling and process requirements for new or existing flows.
• Maintain records and reporting systems for measurement of manufacturing operations.
