Brazen Search in Burnley is recruiting a Semi-Skilled Mechanical Engineer to support the engineering team with mechanical assembly, maintenance and basic fabrication, in a busy workshop.

You should have hands-on mechanical experience, be able to read basic engineering drawings, and be comfortable using hand and workshop tools. This permanent, full-time role offers a 4.5-day week and a competitive £30,000 salary.

Qualifications

• NVQ/City & Guilds or an engineering apprenticeship is advantageous.

Responsibilities

We are currently looking for a Semi-Skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our team based in Burnley.

The Role

As a Semi-Skilled Mechanical Engineer, you will be involved in a range of mechanical engineering tasks, supporting the wider engineering team to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard.

The role would suit someone with hands‑on mechanical experience who is keen to develop their technical abilities and take on further responsibility.

• Takes pride in producing high-quality work

Relevant qualifications such as NVQ, City & Guilds, or an engineering apprenticeship would be advantageous, but practical experience and the right attitude are equally important.
