Are you mechanically minded, great at spotting when something doesn’t look or sound quite right, and happiest when you’re hands‑on?
We’re growing our Engineering team at Burnley and have created a brand‑new permanent opportunity for a Semi‑Skilled Engineer to help keep our bakery, equipment and buildings in great shape. From condition monitoring and planned maintenance to lubrication checks and working alongside specialist contractors, you’ll play an important part in keeping everything running safely and reliably. It’s how we roll.
Working as part of our Engineering and Maintenance team, you’ll help provide a high-quality engineering service across the site, supporting the maintenance of our bakery equipment, buildings, infrastructure and services.
This is a varied, practical role with a strong focus on planned and preventative maintenance. You’ll carry out condition‑based monitoring on machinery, check oil and lubrication conditions, complete planned maintenance inspections and identify visual signs of wear and tear before they develop into bigger issues.
You’ll also work closely with external contractors, helping to coordinate and support planned work across site, alongside carrying out basic building maintenance activities where required.
Safety and quality will be at the heart of everything you do. You’ll help ensure work is completed in line with our Health & Safety requirements, food safety standards and our Bakery Excellence framework, whilst recording and managing maintenance activity effectively through SAP PM.
Ultimately, you’ll be helping us improve the reliability of our assets, reduce losses and keep our bakery running at its best.
