Job summary

ES Recruit is seeking a Semiskilled Engineer to join a busy manufacturing site in Bolton. This hands-on role supports day-to-day production activities, helping to maintain quality, safety and efficiency on the shop floor.

You will work from technical drawings, use workshop machinery and hand tools, and carry out basic mechanical and assembly tasks with a proactive, practical approach. A City & Guilds Level 1 or 2 would be beneficial.

Qualifications

• City & Guilds Level 1 or 2 in Engineering would be beneficial.
• Comfortable using workshop machinery and hand tools.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.

Responsibilities

• Operating drills, bandsaws and welding equipment
• Carrying out machine cleaning and general factory maintenance tasks
• Supporting basic mechanical and assembly work
• Reading and interpreting engineering drawings
• Liaising with supervisors to understand production requirements
• Maintaining a clean, safe and organised working environment
• Manual handling of materials and components up to 25kg
• Supporting continuous improvement across the production department
• Ensuring work is completed safely and to the required quality standards

Semi-Skilled Engineer

ES Recruit are recruiting for a Semiskilled Engineer to join an established manufacturing business. This is a varied, hands-on position working within the production/shop floor team, supporting day-to-day manufacturing activities and helping to maintain high standards of quality, safety and efficiency.

Who the role would suit

This role would suit someone with a basic engineering or manufacturing background who is comfortable using workshop machinery and hand tools. You should have a practical, proactive approach, be able to work from technical drawings and be happy carrying out a variety of duties across the shop floor. A City & Guilds Level 1 or 2 in Engineering would be beneficial, along with a basic understanding of mechanical assembly.

Salary: £30,000

Hours: Monday - Thursday 7:30am - 4:30pm / Friday 7:30am - 11:30am
