Job summary

Service Care Solutions Ltd in Droitwich is recruiting on behalf of an accountancy practice for a Semi-Senior/Senior Accountant to join permanently. You will prepare year-end accounts, review bookkeeping and VAT, and liaise with clients across a varied portfolio, including entertainment clients.

You should have around 3 years in practice, be proficient with Xero and Microsoft Office, and possess strong communication and organisational skills.

Qualifications

• 3 years’ experience within accountancy practice.
• Solid understanding of bookkeeping, VAT and general taxation, including year-end accounts for Sole Traders and Limited Companies.

Responsibilities

• Preparation of year-end accounts for Sole Traders and Limited Companies, working papers and maintenance of accurate records.
• Reviewing client bookkeeping, VAT, self-assessment and corporate tax returns.
• Preparation of financial information, both monthly and annually, and liaising with clients on accounting, tax and regulatory queries.
• Support junior team members and coordinate with senior management to meet deadlines.

Job Description

Service Care Solutions are recruiting on behalf of an accountancy practice in Droitwich for a Semi-Senior/Senior Accountant to join the team on a permanent basis. The postholder will work with a unique portfolio of clients across the entertainment industry, from individuals to businesses.

Key Responsibilities

• Preparation of year-end accounts for Sole Traders and Limited Companies, working papers and maintenance of accurate records.
• Reviewing client bookkeeping, VAT, self-assessment and corporate tax returns.
• Preparation of financial information, both monthly and annually, as well as directly liaising with clients and responding to their queries involving accounting, tax and regulatory compliance.
• Working with senior management to ensure deadlines are met, and supporting/assisting junior members of the team where necessary.

Candidate

Criteria

• 3 years’ experience within accountancy practice, with a solid understanding of bookkeeping, VAT and general taxation, including year-end accounts for Sole Traders and Limited Companies.
• Skilled with software and systems, including Xero and Microsoft Office.
• Confident communicator, both written and verbal, with excellent organisational, time-management and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage own workload and meet deadlines, as well as working within a team.
