Job summary

BK Plus is seeking an Audit Semi Senior to join our team based in Aldridge or Lichfield, with exposure to a range of clients and industries.

The ideal candidate will have at least 12 months of audit experience and solid knowledge of Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet basics, plus strong communication and a valid driving licence.

You will contribute to planning, testing, and end-of-year stock counts, supported by an experienced team that values accuracy and professional growth.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of accounting principles and financial statements.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• Hold a driving licence with access to own car.
• Minimum 12 months' audit experience.

Responsibilities

• Obtain understanding of client systems to guide testing.
• Research clients and industries to aid planning and risk identification.
• Complete assignments timely covering balance sheet and P&L.
• Analyse financial statements for anomalies and regulatory compliance.
• Liaise with clients to obtain information for audit procedures.
• Assist senior staff with complex risk areas.
• Report and advise on internal control observations and misstatements to management.
• Attend and perform year-end stock counts.

Job description

We are currently looking for an Audit Semi Senior to join our team based in Aldridge or Lichfield. The ideal candidate will have at least 12 months experience in an Audit role and will have knowledge of accounting principles and accounting basics for example Profit/Loss and Balance Sheet.

Brief Job Description

• Obtaining an understanding of client systems and processes to aid in determining the direction of testing.
• Client and industry research to aid in planning process, including risk identification
• Completing designated assignments within a timely manner. These will cover all aspects of the balance sheet and P&L
• Analysing financial statements for anomalies and regulatory compliance
• Liaising with clients to attain relevant information necessary to complete audit procedures
• Assisting senior staff with complex and significant risk areas.
• Reporting and advising on identified internal control observations and misstatements to management
• Attending and performing year end stock count

Requirements for the role

• Has a rudimentary knowledge of accounting principles & Accounting basics (i.e Profit/loss & Balance Sheet)
• Is a strong communicator and very organised
• Holds a driving licence and has access to their own car
• Has at least 12 month experience in an Audit role
