Job summary

BK Plus is seeking an Audit Semi Senior to join our team in Aldridge. You will work on client engagements, review financial statements, and assist with planning and testing in the audit process.

The ideal candidate has at least 12 months of audit experience and a basic understanding of accounting principles, including P&L and Balance Sheet, with a driving licence or access to a vehicle.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of accounting principles including Profit/Loss and Balance Sheet.
• Minimum 12 months' experience in an Audit role.

Responsibilities

• Understand client systems and processes to guide testing.
• Conduct client and industry research to aid audit planning and risk identification.
• Complete designated assignments covering balance sheet and P&L.
• Analyze financial statements for anomalies and regulatory compliance.
• Liaise with clients to obtain information required for audit procedures.
• Assist senior staff with complex and significant risk areas.
• Report and advise on internal control observations and misstatements to management.
• Attend year-end stock counts.

Brief Job Description

• Obtaining an understanding of client systems and processes to aid in determining the direction of testing.
• Client and industry research to aid in planning process, including risk identification
• Completing designated assignments within a timely manner. These will cover all aspects of the balance sheet and P&L
• Analysing financial statements for anomalies and regulatory compliance
• Liaising with clients to attain relevant information necessary to complete audit procedures
• Assisting senior staff with complex and significant risk areas.
• Reporting and advising on identified internal control observations and misstatements to management
• Attending and performing year end stock count

Requirements for the role

• Has a rudimentary knowledge of accounting principles & Accounting basics (i.e Profit/loss & Balance Sheet)
• Is a strong communicator and very organised
• Holds a driving licence and has access to their own car
• Has at least 12 month experience in an Audit role
