Job summary

Clear Legal & Financial Recruitment in Barnsley is seeking an accountancy professional to join an expanding practice and support a varied portfolio of clients across accounts and tax work. You will handle client bookkeeping, prepare company and partnership accounts, financial statements and VAT returns, while helping train apprentices and develop professional skills.

Experience with Sage 50, Xero or similar software is preferred, and studying towards AAT or a professional qualification is

Qualifications

• 2–3 years' practice experience in accounts and tax.
• Strong numerical ability and attention to detail.
• Good communication with clients and colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Client bookkeeping and preparation of company/partnership accounts.
• Prepare financial statements and interim management accounts.
• Handle personal and VAT returns and assist with client portfolios.
• Support apprenticeship training and development.
• Experience with company secretarial work or payroll would be advantageous.
