Eps.Recruitment is seeking a Semi-Senior Accountant near Bedford. You will handle year-end accounts, VAT, personal tax, and bookkeeping while supporting clients with MTd-compliant processes.

Qualifications

• Two years+ experience in an accountancy practice.
• Studying toward ACA/ACCA or equivalent.
• Experience preparing statutory accounts for clients.
• Knowledge of VAT and personal tax compliance.
• Proficient with Excel, Xero, QuickBooks and Sage.
• Strong organisation and attention to detail.
• Confident communication and ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Prepare year-end statutory accounts for a range of clients.
• Prepare VAT returns and personal tax returns with accuracy and timeliness.
• Complete bookkeeping in line with Making Tax Digital (MTD).
• Maintain accurate records, reconciliations and client files.
• Support managers with client relationships and queries.
• Assist onboarding of new clients.
• Manage workload to meet deadlines and targets.
