Job summary

Sharp Consultancy in Doncaster is looking for a Semi Senior Accountant to join an established practice. You will work on year-end accounts, VAT returns and broader general practice tasks for a varied client portfolio, with plenty of client contact to develop your technical knowledge and responsibility.

This role suits an experienced Accounts Assistant or Semi Senior Accountant who is AAT finalist or studying towards ACCA/ACA, or qualified by experience, with study support and a friendly team

Qualifications

• Experience in accountancy practice
• AAT finalist or studying ACCA/ACA or qualified by experience
• Comfortable handling a varied client portfolio

Responsibilities

• Preparing year-end accounts for a range of clients
• Preparing and submitting VAT returns
• Liaising directly with clients and handling queries
• Assisting with bookkeeping and management accounts
• Working with the accounts team to meet deadlines
• Developing technical knowledge across accounts and tax
