Vardey Recruitment is delighted to be working with a well-established accountancy practice in Bournemouth, Dorset, seeking an Accounts Semi-Senior to join their friendly team. You will prepare year-end statutory accounts, handle corporation and personal tax, and manage bookkeeping and VAT for a varied SME client base.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in an accountancy practice is required.
• Strong double-entry bookkeeping skills are essential.
• Willingness to study and progress within accounting qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Support and prepare year-end statutory accounts for limited companies, sole traders and partnerships.
• Prepare corporation tax computations and CT600 returns.
• Assist with personal tax returns as required.
• Prepare working papers and maintain accurate client records.
• Perform bookkeeping and VAT work as needed.
• Liaise with clients to obtain information and resolve queries.
• Support senior team members on larger assignments and ad-hoc projects.
• Build relationships with SME and owner-managed clients.
• Utilise accounting software and Excel to complete client work efficiently.
