Job summary

Fusion Consulting Group in Finchley, London is seeking a Semi Senior Accountant to join a leading professional services firm. You will handle end-to-end accounting tasks across SME clients, reporting to an Accounts Manager, with on-the-job training and study support provided.

The role requires prior UK practice experience, ACCA/ACA progress, and strong IT skills including Excel, IRIS and Xero. The firm offers a competitive salary, study support, and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• At least four years working within a UK practice.
• Working toward ACCA/ACA qualification.
• Strong IT skills, notably Excel, IRIS and Xero.
• Good knowledge of VAT and taxation.

Responsibilities

• Preparing year-end accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies
• Preparing and submitting personal, partnership and corporation tax returns
• Preparing VAT returns and assisting clients with VAT-related queries
• Managing a portfolio of clients and maintaining strong client relationships
• Assisting clients with bookkeeping and accounting software queries
• Reviewing bookkeeping records and ensuring accounts are complete and accurate
• Preparing management accounts and other financial information where required
• Communicating with HMRC and Companies House on behalf of clients
• Supporting senior team members with more complex accounting and tax assignments
• Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of relevant accounting, tax and regulatory requirements
