Job summary

Clear Legal & Financial Recruitment is supporting a growing accountancy practice in Milton Keynes to appoint a Semi Senior Accountant. The role offers exposure across accounts, tax and advisory work as you progress toward a professional qualification.

The ideal candidate will have UK practice experience, be AAT qualified and studying ACA or ACCA, with at least two years' experience, and be proficient in Xero or Iris. Hybrid working and study support are offered.

Qualifications

• AAT qualified and studying ACA or ACCA (or equivalent).
• Minimum of 2 years' UK accountancy practice experience.
• Experience preparing accounts and tax returns.
• Strong knowledge of Xero or other cloud accounting software.
• Iris experience desirable.
• Excellent organisational, communication and client relationship skills.
• Proactive with the ability to manage multiple client assignments.

Responsibilities

• Preparing statutory accounts for a varied client portfolio
• Preparing Corporation Tax, Self Assessment Tax Returns, P11Ds and Capital Gains Tax reports
• Producing monthly and quarterly management accounts
• Supporting clients with day-to-day accounting and tax queries
• Identifying tax planning and business improvement opportunities
• Building strong client relationships and delivering excellent service
• Assisting managers with advisory projects and ensuring deadlines are met
