The role focuses on year-end statutory accounts, bookkeeping with cloud software such as Xero, QuickBooks and Sage, VAT and tax returns, audits support, and progress toward ACCA qualifications in a collaborative team.

You'll work Monday to Friday, with training and development opportunities and a supportive environment that values professional growth.

Qualifications

• Part-qualified with AAT/ACA/ACCA or pursuing professional qualifications.
• Some practice experience and willingness to study towards ACCA.
• Based within 1 hour commute of Eastbourne.

Responsibilities

• Assist with year-end statutory accounts for Ltd, sole traders and partnerships.
• Support bookkeeping using cloud software (Xero, QuickBooks, Sage).
• Reconcile bank statements, ledgers and control accounts.
• Assist on audits when needed.
• Prepare VAT returns and submit to HMRC.
• Assist with tax returns.
• Liaise with clients to request information or resolve queries.
• Help prepare management accounts and maintain client records.
