Job description

Semi-Senior Accountant required to join our client in Stockport. This is an opportunity to join a thriving firm that offers scope for long-term career progression for the right individual. The Semi-Senior Accountant will assist, help, and support the directors in managing a portfolio of clients, meeting filing deadlines for year-end accounts and corporation tax returns.

The ideal candidate will be experienced in bookkeeping, VAT returns, and preparing year-end accounts. Experience with Sage, Xero, QuickBooks, and other accounting software is preferred.

Semi Senior Accountant Position Overview

1. Preparation of year-end accounts, financial statements, and tax computations
2. Preparation of VAT returns for clients
3. Bookkeeping at client premises and remotely
4. Management of a small portfolio of clients
5. Assist with client training on accounting software
6. Advising on improving profitability and business efficiency

Semi Senior Accountant Position Requirements

1. AAT qualified or studying towards Level 4, or part-qualified ACCA/ACA
2. At least three years' experience working for a firm of chartered accountants
3. Experience using Sage, Freeagent, Kashflow, QuickBooks, and Xero

Semi Senior Accountant Position Remuneration

£22,000 - £28,000 per annum (dependent on skills and experience)

Hybrid working: flexible working in our Stockport office and from home
