Bennett and Game Recruitment is pleased to collaborate with a Chartered Accountancy Practice based in Huddersfield, seeking an Accounts Assistant / Semi Senior Accountant to join their growing team on a full-time, permanent basis. The ideal candidate will have experience in an Accountancy Practice and will be either AAT qualified or studying towards their AAT qualification, with full study support available.

Accounts Assistant / Semi Senior Job Overview

1. Assist the Senior in managing a portfolio of clients, including preparing accounts, VAT returns, CT computations, and SA tax returns.
2. Prepare accounts for clients, including sole traders, Limited Companies, and partnerships.
3. Prepare Corporation Tax computations for Limited Companies.
4. Assist in preparing basic Self-Assessment Tax returns.
5. Develop strong relationships with clients within the portfolio.
6. Prepare periodic bookkeeping and management accounts.

Job Requirements

1. AAT qualified or studying towards AAT, ACCA, or ACA qualification.
2. Experience in an Accountancy Practice is essential.
3. Knowledge of Sage, Xero, QuickBooks, or CCH is advantageous.
4. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
5. Eligible to work in the UK and reside within a reasonable commute of Huddersfield.

Salary & Benefits

1. Salary: £27,000 - £32,000 per annum, dependent on experience.
2. Hours: 37.5 per week with flexible start and finish times.
3. Annual leave: 24 days plus bank holidays.
