Job Title: Semi Senior Accountant

Growing and ambitious Northampton-based accountancy practice is seeking an enthusiastic Semi Senior to join the Accounts and Business Services team. The role involves carrying out VAT, producing Management Accounts, and preparing yearly accounts, all while adhering to deadlines and providing excellent service.

The ideal candidate will have several years of practice experience, proficient in Xero and Sage, with a good knowledge of producing accounts and assisting with client queries.

Responsibilities:

1. Planning of jobs for sole traders, partnerships, limited companies, and charities
2. Preparation of final accounts for various entities
3. Liaising with clients on draft accounts for approval or discussion
4. Conducting audits following planning by others
5. Completing personal and partnership tax returns, as well as company CT600s
6. Reviewing confirmation statements and other statutory documentation
7. Preparing management accounts

Requirements:

• Experience within practice is essential
• Proficiency in Xero and Sage; experience with Iris is advantageous
• Experience preparing VAT and annual accounts
