Job description

Semi Senior Accountant required to join a growing multi-sited accountancy practice based in the Bromsgrove office.

This Semi-Senior opportunity is suitable for an MAAT qualified Accountant or Part qualified ACCA/ACA Accountant with proven accountancy practice experience over accounts preparation and VAT returns.

The Semi Senior Accountant will be tasked with preparing accounts, management accounts, and dealing with client queries while assisting with this portfolio of OMB's. This is a full-time, permanent position, Monday - Friday, and offers a great package including full study support and a competitive salary.

Responsibilities:

• Review/prepare bookkeeping as required.
• Preparation of VAT returns.
• Preparation of management figures.
• Simple VAT return reviews.
• Preparation of financial statements and sole trader accounts.
• Preparation of consolidated accounts for small & medium groups.
• Preparation of corporation tax returns.
• Supporting the management of a portfolio of clients.

Requirements:

• 2-3 years' experience within a UK accountancy practice.
• Experience with the software Sage 50, IRIS, and Xero.
• Studying AAT or ACA/ACCA.
• Experience with VAT returns & year-end accounts preparation.
