Job summary

Academics is seeking a Youth Support Worker for a specialist SEMH school in Maidenhead. This term-time role supports students aged 5 to 13 with SEMH needs and behavioural challenges, in a nurturing, restorative-practice setting.

You will help pupils regulate emotions, support behavioural development and progress academically, while contributing to EHCP-focused planning and positive personal growth.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children with SEMH or behavioural needs is desirable but not essential.
• Patient, kind, and empathetic approach to supporting pupils.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to individual needs.

Responsibilities

• Support students to regulate emotions and behaviours while learning.
• Contribute to personalised goals within behaviour plans.
• Work in a nurturing environment with strong leadership support.
