Job summary

Integra Education North is seeking SEMH Tutors to provide personalised 1:1 tuition across Stourbridge and surrounding areas. The role focuses on helping pupils rebuild confidence, develop positive relationships with education, and make meaningful academic progress in a calm setting.

Candidates should have SEMH experience, be patient and adaptable, hold a degree or equivalent, and be available during term time from September. Flexible hours and local opportunities are offered.

Qualifications

• Experience with SEMH needs in children or young people.
• Experience in teaching, tutoring, youth work, pastoral support or similar.
• Patience, empathy and ability to build professional relationships.
• Ability to adapt communication and teaching to individual learners.
• Strong subject knowledge in at least one core academic subject.
• Good understanding of the UK education system.
• Aged 18 or over and available during term time from September.
• Hold a degree qualification or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging and personalised 1:1 tuition.
• Adapt approach to meet each pupil's SEMH needs.
• Build positive, trusting relationships with young people.
• Create a calm, structured and supportive learning environment.
• Support pupils to develop confidence, resilience and positive attitudes towards education.
• Re-engage learners who may have previously struggled within mainstream settings.
• Plan and adapt sessions to maximise engagement and progress.
• Monitor progress and provide regular feedback where required.
