Job summary

TP Tutors in the Chipping Norton/Bloxham area is seeking an experienced tutor to provide more than a lesson—offering consistency, patience and a calm, supportive approach to pupils with SEMH and other needs. The role focuses on re-engaging learners with learning at a pace that suits them, with clear structure and direction.

Availability is 10–15 hours per week, with core hours 8:30 am to 3:30 pm, Monday to Friday, and start from the September term.

Qualifications

• Strong behaviour management rooted in empathy.
• Experience supporting pupils with SEMH or other complex needs.
• Confidence working independently.
• Professional written and verbal communication skills.
• Resilience and emotional intelligence.

Responsibilities

• Accurately record and report attendance.
• Monitor and document both academic and emotional progress.
• Provide clear, professional feedback that can be shared with schools and other professionals.
• Maintain high standards of safeguarding and record-keeping.
• Your reports may contribute to wider discussions with schools and external agencies.
