Job summary

Horizon School in Lowestoft is seeking a School Engagement Practitioner to support students and families through induction and transition back to mainstream education. The role focuses on improving attendance and serving as the main contact for families and dual registered schools, while contributing to safeguarding.

You will liaise with Welfare and SEND Coordinator, document information in school systems, and bring expertise in SEMH, trauma-informed and restorative approaches to support SEND

Qualifications

• Experience in SEMH, trauma-informed practice and SEND.
• Experience liaising with Welfare and SEND Coordinator.
• Ability to document information in school systems.

Responsibilities

• Support students and families during induction and transition back to mainstream schools.
• Support attendance and be the main point of contact for families and dual registered schools; be part of the safeguarding team.
