Job summary

Veritas Educationis is seeking experienced SEMH Teaching Assistants for a specialist school in Guildford to start in September. You will work with students who have SEMH and behavioural needs, providing academic and pastoral support in a structured and nurturing environment.

Key responsibilities include assisting with lesson delivery, managing classroom behaviour, promoting positive conduct, and supporting emotional development in collaboration with teaching staff.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Providing academic and pastoral support to students with SEMH and behavioural needs.
• Assisting the class teacher with lesson delivery, classroom and behaviour management, and pupil development.
• Promoting positive behaviour and helping manage challenging situations.
• Supporting students' academic and emotional development in class.
• Working collaboratively with teaching staff to implement personalised support strategies.
