Job summary

TeacherActive is seeking a SEMH Teaching Assistant for a secondary setting in Liverpool, starting ASAP. The role is temp to perm, with duties including supporting students with SEMH needs in and out of class, managing behaviour and fostering positive relationships.

The successful candidate will have SEMH experience, a calm, patient approach, and strong communication skills to help pupils build confidence and engagement.

Qualifications

The school is looking to take on a dedicated SEMH Teaching Assistant on a temp to perm basis, starting as soon as possible. The successful SEMH Teaching Assistant will support students with SEMH needs both in and out of the classroom, helping to manage behaviour, encourage engagement and promote positive relationships.

The successful SEMH Teaching Assistant will have:

• Experience working with children or young people with SEMH needs
• Previous experience in a school, alternative provision or similar setting
