Randstad Education in Croydon is seeking an experienced teaching assistant for a supply basis role. The position runs 8:30-4:30, Monday to Friday, supporting 1:1 and small groups in a specialist setting.

You will work with teachers to provide targeted academic and behavioural support, foster a calm classroom, and help pupils overcome emotional barriers. Relevant qualifications and SEND/SEMH experience are preferred.

Qualificações

• GCSEs in English and Maths (Grade C/4 or above) or equivalent.
• Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification desirable.
• Experience with SEMH/SEND or alternative provision preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Provide targeted academic and behavioural support to individual pupils or small groups.
• Assist class teachers with classroom management, lesson preparation, and learning activities.
• Help create a calm, structured, and inclusive learning environment.
• Support pupils with emotional self-control and conflict resolution using positive behaviour strategies.
• Monitor student progress and report achievements or challenges to teaching staff.
• Escort and support pupils during lunch breaks, physical activities, and school trips where required.
