Job summary

Pool Hayes Academy are seeking a committed SEMH Teaching Assistant to support vulnerable students and enhance their experience in a secondary education setting. The role involves delivering parts of the curriculum under guidance to help students achieve exam success.

The ideal candidate will have a Level 2 TA qualification and solid English and Maths literacy and numeracy skills, with experience in 11–16 age groups and working with vulnerable learners.

Qualifications

• Grade 4/C or above in English and Maths.
• Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification.
• Experience with vulnerable or hard-to-reach students.

Responsibilities

• Support SEMH students to improve social, emotional and mental wellbeing.
• Deliver elements of the academic curriculum with guidance from subject leaders.
• Work with 11–16 age group to support attendance and engagement.
• Contribute to improving exam readiness and educational outcomes.
