Job summary

Pool Hayes Academy is seeking a committed SEMH Teaching Assistant to support vulnerable students and enhance their social, emotional and academic wellbeing. The role involves delivering parts of the curriculum with guidance from subject leaders to help students achieve exam success.

The successful candidate will have a Grade 4/C or above in English/Maths, strong literacy and numeracy, and a Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification.

Qualifications

• Strong literacy and numeracy skills.
• Experience working with 11–16 age group.
• Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification required.
• Grade 4/C or above in English and Maths preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support SEMH students to improve social, emotional and mental wellbeing and academic outcomes.
• Deliver elements of the curriculum with guidance from subject leaders to help students achieve exam success.
• Work with students who are vulnerable or hard to reach and support attendance where needed.
