Job summary

Randstad Education in Bodmin is seeking an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant (SEMH) for an Alternative Provision starting September 2026. This full-time, long-term role supports students outside mainstream settings, delivering tailored educational activities and consistent supervision to vulnerable learners.

You will work under a dedicated consultant, gain access to CPD, and earn a competitive daily rate of £92.56–£95.00, paid weekly.

Qualifications

• SEMH experience with complex social, emotional and mental health needs.
• Holding a valid UK driving licence with access to a vehicle for off-site activities.
• Enhanced DBS clearance (or willing to obtain) required.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualised support to pupils with SEMH needs.
• Enable access to a broad, engaging curriculum through tailored activities.
• De-escalate behaviours using trauma-informed approaches.
• Support students during community and off-site learning activities.
