Job summary

Aspire People are recruiting for an SEMH Teaching Assistant to support pupils with SEMH needs in a school located in Grantham, Lincolnshire. This role is full-time, on a temp to perm basis starting immediately, with working hours 08:30 - 15:30 and a focus on 1:1 support for students showing disregulated behaviour.

The role requires a high level of resilience and energy, with experience of working with children with social, emotional and mental health needs.

Qualifications

• Must have recent/relevant experience working with children and young people, specifically those with SEND/SEMH.
• Must have a passion for education.

Responsibilities

• Promote inclusion and acceptance of all students
• Support pupils consistently whilst responding to their individual needs
• Create a safe learning environment for pupils
• De‑escalate behavior that challenges through the forming of trusting relationships
