Job summary

Aspire People are recruiting for an SEMH Teaching Assistant to support pupils with SEMH needs in a school located in Mansfield. This role is full-time, on a temp to perm basis starting immediately. Working hours are 08:30 - 15:30, predominantly 1:1 with students who show disregulated behaviour.

The role requires resilience and experience with children with social emotional and mental health needs. Aspire People emphasises safeguarding and regulatory checks as part of the recruitment process.

Qualifications

• Recent/relevant experience working with children and young people, specifically those with SEND/SEMH.
• Ability to work with high-energy and challenging behaviour in an educational setting.

• Promote inclusion and acceptance of all students
• Support pupils consistently whilst responding to their individual needs
• Create a safe learning environment for pupils
• De‑escalate behavior that challenges through the forming of trusting relationships
