Job summary

TeacherActive is seeking a determined SEMH Teaching Assistant/TA to support students with SEMH, ASD and Challenging Behaviour in a school that provides daily structure and safeguarding. This role offers potential for a permanent position and comes with dedicated consultant support and competitive pay.

Applicants must have a DBS (or willingness to apply) and a calm, patient, caring approach to working with learners who need 1:1 or small-group support.

Qualifications

• DBS clearance required or willing to apply.
• Experience working with SEMH, ASD and Challenging Behaviour students.
• Calm, patient and caring personality.

Responsibilities

• Support SEMH/ASD students 1:1 and in small groups.
• Contribute to safeguarding and child protection practices.
• Collaborate with teachers to manage classroom behaviour.
• Support students to meet their milestones and learning goals.
• Engage with pupils to create a positive learning environment.
