A leading educational institution in Wakefield is seeking a passionate SEMH Teaching Assistant to support children with special educational needs. This full-time position involves adapting practices to meet varied needs and working collaboratively with parents and professionals. Suitable candidates include both experienced and newly qualified teaching assistants.
We are looking for an SEMH teaching assistant with a real passion for helping children and young people with SEN and SEMH needs. The ideal candidate will be qualified/experienced. Newly qualified lvl 2 and lvl 3 Teaching assistants are welcome to apply.

Minimum rate of pay - Minimum rate GBP85 per day
Hours - 8:30 am - 3:30pm : Mon - Fri (term time only)
Responsibilities:
Support and scaffold children in the classroom.
Prepare resources with the teacher.
Work effectively in Partnership with other professionals and parents/carers.
Able to adapt practice to support the varied needs of children.
EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS
At least Level 2 trained
GCSE English and Maths grade C
TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:
Hold Right to Work in the UK
Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
Provide two professional child related references
