Job Title: 1-2-1 SEN Level 2 Teaching Assistant
Location: WF2, Wakefield
Start Date: September 2025
Contract Type: Full-Time, Long-Term
Pay: 85 - 95 per day (depending on experience and qualifications)

Are you a compassionate and dedicated Teaching Assistant with experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs? We are currently recruiting for a Level 2 Teaching Assistant to work 1-2-1 with a pupil with additional needs at a supportive and inclusive primary school in the WF2 area of Wakefield.

The Role:

• Provide dedicated 1-2-1 support to a pupil with SEN, ensuring they can access the curriculum in a meaningful and supportive way.

• Assist the class teacher with planning, delivering, and differentiating learning activities.

• Monitor and support the social and emotional wellbeing of the child.

• Liaise with SENCOs and external professionals as needed.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

• A Level 2 TA qualification (or equivalent).

• Experience working 1-2-1 with children with SEN, ideally within a primary school.

• Strong behaviour management skills and a nurturing, patient approach.

• A valid DBS on the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one).

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
