Job summary

Milk Education is seeking an empathetic SEMH Teaching Assistant to support students with social, emotional, and mental health needs in a Middlesbrough school. This role welcomes new or experienced educators who want a familiar face in a nurturing community.

You will collaborate with teachers and pastoral staff to implement behaviour plans, promote wellbeing, and help students engage, build confidence, and regulate emotions in daily learning activities.

Qualifications

• Previous experience supporting children with SEMH or behavioural needs.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Calm, patient, and positive attitude.
• Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)
