Tradewind Recruitment in Liverpool is seeking dedicated SEMH Teaching Assistants to support pupils with social, emotional and mental health needs across local schools. The role emphasizes patience, empathy and resilience, with opportunities to work in diverse educational settings.

Ideal candidates will have experience with SEMH/SEND or behavioural challenges and will help pupils engage with lessons, build confidence and improve emotional regulation in a supportive team environment.

• Provide 1:1 and small-group support to pupils with SEMH needs.

• Work alongside teachers and pastoral staff to create a safe learning environment.
• Encourage pupils to develop confidence, independence and social skills.
• Respond calmly to challenging situations following school policies.

The Role
