A specialist SEMH school in Denton is seeking a committed Teaching Assistant with specialism in SEMH to support 1:1 with a y6 pupil in their new school. Join a forward-thinking and dynamic school and become a key player within an experienced support team as an SEMH Teaching Assistant.

Working as an SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) Teaching Assistant in Denton involves supporting pupils who face emotional, behavioural, and mental health challenges that can affect their learning. The role requires building positive relationships, promoting emotional wellbeing, managing challenging behaviours, and helping children access the curriculum in a safe and supportive environment. Working closely with teachers, families and external agencies, you will support a child in line with theirEHCP objectives, helping to remove barriers to learning and encouraging both academic and personal development.
