Job summary

Academics is recruiting a SEMH Teacher to work within a SEMH and trauma-informed setting in Sheffield, starting immediately. You will teach a bespoke curriculum to pupils aged 6 to 16, with small class sizes and MDT support.

Role involves planning personalised lessons, meeting EHCP targets, and supporting students with SEMH, ASC, and ADHD. DBS checks are required; competitive daily rate paid weekly during term time.

Qualifications

  • Previous SEN teaching experience or strong knowledge of specialist education.
  • Understanding of Autism, ADHD, SEMH, SLD, PMLD and additional learning needs.
  • Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain both).

Responsibilities

SEMH Teacher - Across Sheffield Schools

Location: Across Sheffield Schools
Start Date: Immediate
Salary: £145 - £210 per day (PAYE - no umbrella company fees, depending on experience) + holiday pay

Academics is recruiting a SEMH Teacher to work within a SEMH and trauma-informed setting, where students present with SEMH and sensory needs. This is an exceptionally important role, enabling engagement and education for some of the most vulnerable children in education.

The Role

You will be working in an independent SEMH and trauma-informed setting with a bespoke curriculum, with purpose-built cabins to support sensory learning when required.

You will work within multi-disciplinary teams, with very small class sizes with pupils aged 6 to 16 years.

Candidate Requirements
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent

  • Enhanced Child and Adult DBS (or willingness to obtain both)
