Job summary

Prospero Teaching is seeking a SEMH Nurture Teacher in Altrincham, Cheshire for an immediate start. You will teach a balanced Primary Curriculum to Year 7–11 students needing extra support, in small groups of 6–7, supported by learning assistants, in a calm, specialist provision.

Role is long-term, temporary with potential to perm, starting September 2026. Hours are 8:30 am–3:30 pm, with a daily rate of GBP168. Applicants must have UK QTS and safeguarding training, with Right to Work in the UK.

Qualifications

• UK QTS essential for this role.
• Qualified to teach Primary KS2 or Secondary KS3/4 with experience of Nurture Groups.
• Previous experience working in a UK school.
• Up to date safeguarding training issued in the last year.

Responsibilities

SEMH Nurture Teacher - Cheshire

Prospero Teaching is looking for a Nurture Teacher for an immediate start. You will be responsible for teaching a balanced Primary Curriculum to Year 7 to 11 students who need that little extra support and guidance. This timetable would be suitable for a qualified teacher who is looking to focus on smaller groups, as opposed to 30 students.

The school is a small but outstanding Specialist Provision and you will be teaching groups of up to 6 or 7 students and you will be ably supported by skilful learning assistants. Facilities are outstanding and include sensory rooms, a nature garden, and access to a protected nature trail which is perfect for outdoor education during the summer months!

The school offers GCSE subjects for its students and prides itself on offering a supportive, calm environment for learning.

EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS
