Job summary

Luma Education Recruitment is seeking a passionate SEMH Teacher for a specialist education setting in Warwick. You will create a structured, engaging learning environment and support pupils who experience SEMH challenges, anxiety, or barriers to learning.

The role involves delivering differentiated lessons, building strong pupil relationships, and working with the wider school team to promote positive behaviour and pupil independence.

Qualifications

• Experience working with SEMH or challenging behaviour.
• Qualified to teach with QTS or equivalent.
• Ability to manage complex classroom dynamics.
• Calm, patient and emotionally resilient.
• Able to build positive relationships with pupils who may have struggled within mainstream education.
• Adaptable and creative in their approach to teaching.
• Confident differentiating work and responding to individual needs.
• Strong communicator and collaborative team member.
• Experience within SEMH schools or similar settings is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver differentiated lessons for SEMH learners.
• Establish routines and positive classroom boundaries.
• Support emotional regulation and engagement in learning.
• Monitor progress and contribute to individual learning plans.
• Collaborate with teaching assistants and pastoral staff.
• Create a calm, inclusive classroom environment.
