Job summary

TeacherActive are working with a fantastic Alternative provision in the North Nottinghamshire area, seeking an enthusiastic qualified teacher for a full-time role starting September 2026.

You will have experience teaching in an SEND/SEMH setting, hold QTS, and be passionate about supporting pupils with SEND. A DBS on the update service or a willingness to obtain one is required. We offer ongoing support and CPD through our My-Progression channel.

Qualifications

• Must have relevant experience teaching in an SEND/SEMH setting.
• DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one.
• Be a Qualified teacher with QTS.
• Be patient and understanding and able to support pupils with SEND.

Responsibilities

• Teach a range of National Curriculum subjects, vocational qualifications, Functional Skills and Life-Skills.
• Deliver Forest Schools and other tailored programmes for SEND/SEMH pupils.
• Support and enable pupils with SEND/SEMH to make progress and reach goals.

TeacherActive are working closely with a fantastic Alternative provision in the North Nottinghamshire area, who are looking for an enthusiastic and passionate qualified teacher to join them for a full time role, starting September 2026.

The provision offers a range of National Curriculum subjects, vocational qualifications, Functional Skills, Life-Skills, and Forest Schools, alongside other programmes for pupils who need a more tailored approach.

To be considered for this role you must have relevant experience teaching in an SEND/SEMH setting as well as a clear passion for working with children with SEND/SEMH.

You also must have a DBS on the update service or willingness to get one (we can support you with getting one if you do not already have this)
