Role: SEMH Teacher
Location: Wakefield (WF2)
Salary: £170 to £250 per day
Start Date: ASAP

The Role:
In this position, you will work directly with students facing social, emotional, and mental health challenges, assisting them with both academic and social-emotional development. Your key responsibilities include:

  • Individualised Support: Develop and implement personalized learning strategies to help students access the curriculum and reach their full potential.
  • Progress Monitoring: Regularly assess student progress and communicate insights to parents and colleagues to support growth.
  • Emotional Support: Create a nurturing and secure environment, providing emotional guidance and encouragement to help students manage anxieties and behavioral issues.
  • Communication: Maintain effective communication with teachers, parents, and other professionals involved in each student’s education.
  • Inclusion: Promote inclusivity within the school community, ensuring students with SEMH needs feel supported and valued.

Requirements:

  • Relevant experience as an SEMH Teacher or in a similar role is preferred.
  • Empathy, patience, and a genuine desire to support students with SEMH needs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Adaptability and teamwork skills.
  • Experience supporting students with SEMH is advantageous.
