Job summary

Qualifications

• Experience working with pupils with SEMH needs.

• Ability to build trusting relationships with young people.
• Strong safeguarding awareness and boundaries.
• Willingness to obtain DBS update service or apply for new check.

Responsibilities

• Establish supportive relationships with pupils who may struggle.
• Provide individual guidance during anxiety or frustration.
• Use de-escalation techniques to manage difficult situations safely.
• Encourage positive routines and coping strategies.
• Support reintegration into lessons after emotional incidents.
• Share observations with pastoral and teaching teams to inform support.
