Tradewind is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support to a student in a vibrant primary school located in the Cheadle area of Stockport. This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals passionate about making a positive impact in a child's educational journey.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide tailored support and guidance to a specific student, ensuring their educational and emotional needs are met.
  • Assist in the planning and delivery of lessons and activities, adapting materials to meet the student's learning style and abilities.
  • Monitor the student's progress and provide regular feedback to teachers and parents.
  • Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Help with the student's personal care and mobility if required.
  • Collaborate with teachers, SEN coordinators, and other support staff to ensure a cohesive approach to the student's education.
  • Encourage the student's social interaction and involvement in school activities.

Requirements:

  • Must have a current DBS on the update service.
  • Previous experience working with children, particularly in a 1:1 capacity, is highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting children's learning and development.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
