Job summary

Supply Desk is seeking a SEMH Support Assistant in Aylesbury to provide targeted emotional support for pupils with SEMH needs. You will work with pupils one-to-one and in small groups, delivering structured strategies to support emotional regulation and positive behaviour.

The role offers full-time hours on a temporary-to-permanent basis, with a daily pay rate and a DBS-check requirement. You’ll collaborate with teaching staff to implement effective plans and nurture a calm classroom environment.

SEMH Support Assistant

Contract: Full Time, Temporary to Permanent

Salary: £90-£115 per day

Role Overview

As a SEMH Support Assistant, you will work closely with pupils who have social, emotional, and mental health needs, delivering structured and targeted support to help them thrive.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver tailored SEMH support to individual pupils
• Work one-to-one with pupils to support emotional regulation
• Implement effective support strategies and interventions
• Build trusting and supportive relationships with pupils
• Collaborate with teaching staff to support behaviour management plans
